I believe that most readers have never heard of those two Albanian towns. Berat and Gjirokastra are located in Central Albania. Berat and Gjirokastra are examples of Ottoman architectural. Before visiting Albania, I had never expected to see so much Ottoman influence who control the territory between years of 1480 and 1912. During 432 years of reign, Ottoman Empire built incredible architectural constructions; most of which are still standing. More importantly, Berat and Gjirokastra are good examples to us that no matter religion or community, people can live together in harmony for so many years without fighting.
