Uygulama adımları / Application steps

1. Kenar bandını uygulacak yüzeyden 3 cm daha uzun kesiniz. Yüzeyin temiz, kuru ve tozdan arındığından emin olunuz. Yüzeyde pürüz oluşturacak yonga, talaş vs. arındırılmalıdır.

   Cut the edgebanding 3 cm longer than surface to be covered. Make sure the surface is dust-free, clean, and dry. Also check to see there are no rough spots on the surface.

2. Kenar bandını kızgın ütü veya sıcak hava üfleyicisiyle şekildeki gibi uygulayınız.

   Apply the edgebanding with hot iron or hot air blower as described.

3. Hala sıcakken, ahşap bir malzemeyle tabakanın üzerine bastırın.

   While still hot, press firmly with a wood block to the board.

4. Tamamiyle soğuyana kadar bekleyin, fazlalık kısmını bir düzeltici veya maket bıçağıyla kesin.

   Allow the edgebanding to cool completely, remove the extra edges with a trimmer or a razor blade.

Sıcaklık ve süre

Bu kenar bantı sunta-MDF levhaya kızgın ütü veya sıcak hava üfleyicisiyle uygulanabilir. Düzgün bir yapışma sağlamak için en az 150º - 180º sıcaklığa ihtiyaç vardır. Elektrikli ütüde sıcaklığı “yünlü/ipek” seviyesine getirin ve ütüyü 10-15 saniye tuttuğunuzdan emin olun. Ütünün uzun süre tutulması veya ütü sıcaklığının çok yüksek olması tutkalın özelliğinin kaybolmasına ve ürünün levhaya yapışmamasına sebep olmaktadır. Sıcak hava üfleyicisi için sıcaklığı 170º – 190º dereceye ayarlayınız. Kenar Bantını açıklandığı gibi kullanmanız halinde 60º-70º derecedeki sıcaklıklarda sağlamlığını korumaktadır. Açıklamaları takibederek kenar bantında en iyi sonucu almanız mümkündür.

This edgebanding can be applied to the board with a hot iron or hot air blower. A minimum temperature of 150º - 180º is required to get a correct bonding effect. For an electrical iron, adjust the temperature to wool/silk range; and make sure that you hold the iron for 10-15 seconds. If the iron is held too long or the temperature in the iron is too high, you will evaporate the hotmelt and the product will not stick to the board. As for hot air blower, adjust the temperature to 170º - 190º. If you apply edgebanding as described, it will keep its integrity up to temperature of 60º- 70º. Following the instructions will result in the best edgebanding experience.
