Any Width You Need, Whenever You Need It

One of the things I hear most often from distributors is this: the variety of widths the market demands makes stocking a real headache. One job calls for a slim edge on a cabinet door. The next needs a wide band for a thick countertop. Keeping deep inventory across every width in every color ties up space and money in rolls that may sit untouched for months.

This is the exact problem the TECE Slitting Machine Pro was built to solve. The idea is simple: instead of stocking dozens of different widths, you stock master rolls and slit them to what you need, on site, in a few minutes. Put in a 90mm roll and take out two rolls of 45mm, or a 35mm and a 55mm. Put in a 60mm roll and get a 25mm and a 35mm. The machine handles any thickness between 0.4mm and 2mm and slits to any width from 9mm up to 80mm.


The specifications are straightforward: any thickness from 0.4mm to 2mm, a maximum master roll width of 95mm, slit widths from 9mm to 80mm, standard 220V household electricity, and a footprint of 150cm by 100cm at 90cm height. It fits in the corner of a warehouse. It does not need an industrial power supply or a specialist technician to operate.


That last point matters more than it might seem. An industrial slitting line can cost upward of 40,000 euros. It needs heavy-duty power, trained staff to maintain the knife system, and it still generates a minimum waste margin. Our machine asks for none of that. The barrier to entry is low, and the return is immediate.

It does not mean buying everything in bulk and handling everything yourself. Most standard widths are still best ordered directly from TECE, as they always have been. The machine covers the margin, the custom widths a particular market occasionally demands, so that when a customer asks for something specific, the answer is yes rather than a two-week wait.


We sell this machine only to our distributors. That is deliberate. We are interested in whether our distributors succeed in their markets, and a distributor who can respond quickly to any width request is a stronger competitor. This machine is one of the ways we try to make that happen.
