Durability of PVC polymer is one of the most important reasons for furniture producers to use PVC edgebanding instead of other edging options. Yet, the question must be asked if all PVC edgebandings in the world are as durable as they should be. In this study and article, we have tested Tece PVC edgebanding against other products. Our findings were really interesting. Please see the image below to see the results. We took a sample of Tece products and try to tear it apart. As you can see from the image, it is not possible to tear it with hand. After checking our sample, we found another sample of PVC edgebanding from the best producers of Asia. You can see how it was torn apart. Same amount of strength was applied in both tests. From the above image, you can witness which product is more durable. And in the right picture, you can see the effect of non-durable edgebanding during the process. The end of edgebanding can break during the end-cutting due to the product strength. Why our product has better strength and more durable? Our equipment: German-made equipments make the PVC powder to turn into edgebanding form with the best possible blending. This blending system makes all components to be polymerized at complete. We use minimum amount of calcite carbonate in our PVC formulation. Extra usage of calcite can lower the cost; yet, it makes the product more rigid. Combination of quality raw material and high tech processing system enable us to produce the optimum product quality and strength.
