R&D is an important department at TECE. It is crucial for achieving future growth and maintaining a relevant product in the market. Before the year of 2018 ends, we are hoping to add two more important products to our portfolio: Polypropylene Edgebanding: The greenest edgebanding solution with the lowest possible price. PP edgebanding is very similar to ABS in terms of ecology and processing. In PP edgebanding, we are going to limit the product to only mass usage. For example, if the customer needs 100,000mt of 2mm ABS product, we will check if we can offer them PP edgebanding. PP edgebanding is produced in jumbo rolls of 610mm and can be slit to any size needed. The thickness can be between 0,5mm and 2mm. Please contact us to preorder a sample Edgebanding for Zero-Glue-Joint Until recently, we were not sure if we must produce a product for zero-glue-joint processing such as Laser or Plasma. Yet, recent developments have enabled the furniture makers to reconsider investing in zero-glue-line edgebanding machinery due to affordability. In the past, Homag had the laser system which would cost about 100,000 euro in addition to the edgebander machine itself. Same goes for Plasma technology. Now, edgebander companies are offering technology which would cost as less as 30,000 euro or so (such as Airtec). To this end, we have decided to invest in the co-extrusion technology.
