Combining the perfect technology with the perfect raw material produces the best results in the product quality. Over the course of 27 years in edgebanding business at Tece, we have witnessed this truth by many examples and experiences. When we wanted to produce edgebanding, we made a deep analysis of how to make our investment. The question was simply 'how can we produce the best PVC edgebanding in the world? What did we have to do?' We realized that without the right equipment and technique, we could not produce a world-class product. Our aim has always been to produce a world-class product which we can distribute to all over the world. During the study, we also concluded that the UV technology of printing is the optimum way of printing our decors on PVC substrate. What is UV printing? UV printing is the latest technology of printing which gives both the sharp and vivid colors at the same time. Furthermore, UV ink is cured 100%; leaving no trace of its wet form. This is not possible with either water based or UV based printing. In the UV technology, there is no solvent. UV ink can be cured 100%; thus, enabling the product not to expose any chemical after this process. In the below presentation, you can see what is meant by the above: We wiped all different products with strong solvent. Our aim was to remove the color / ink from the PVC edgebandings of different supplier. And we used a clean white cloth to do this test so that we could see how much ink is left on the cloth. You can see the findings yourself! [widgetkit id=90] From the above presentation, you can clearly see that our UV printed PVC edgebanding has the perfect adhesion to the substrate. Therefore, the lowest amount of ink is transferred to the cloth. Is UV cheaper? UV is the most expensive printing technology at the moment. Then, why are we using this expensive technology? We can manufacture our edgebanding with solvent or water based inks; and we can earn more by doing it in this way. Yet, our capabilities of printing with UV technology give us and our customer the competitive advantage of supplying a higher quality material to the end user. Furthermore, it makes us feel more comparable towards our responsibilities to the world. We can proudly declare that 'OUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN NO SOLVENT'.
