Traveler Of Lost City: Republic Of San Marino
Republic of San Marino is a microstate surrounded by Italy. San Marino is considered to be the oldest surviving democratic state in the world. With an approximate population of about 32,000 people, San Marino is one of the richest countries in the world. Her economy depends on finance, industry, services and tourism. It is the only country with more vehicles than people.
I always wanted to see this country because I enjoy reading history. And I had read and heard so much about this tiny country and her history. As you will see in the following photos, the country is set on a mountain. In the old times, that gave the perfect advantage to defend themselves against the possible invaders. Right now, being on a mountain enables people of San Marino to overview Italy from their castles and to have a nice view over the area.
I enjoyed my trip to San Marino. Though it is a very small country but I very much enjoyed walking around the castle and the historical paths.
I will stop here so that you can start viewing some of the photos that I took during my visit.
Enjoy them!
