Throughout the world history, a great many different civilizations have grown up, developed and ceased to exist. As of today, we probably know just a few of those great civilizations. And Mayan Civilization is being one of them. While traveling in the Caribbean Sea, I was lucky to witness a ritual in the Island of Cozumel in Mexico. This once-a-year ritual is called 'the Sacred Mayan Journey', a ritual which has been performed for over 1000 years. It recreates when the ancient Mayans would cross the sea on their canoes to Cozumel Island to worship their goddess. In the below photos, you can see some interesting the of people and canoes.
