It is often used in kitchens, restaurants, and decorative works as a surface material. When an aluminum surface is used, the carpenter must ensure that the edges match in order to maintain a cohesive look. Alternatively, to create a contrast, only an aluminum edge may be used on a white surface.

It is important to note that the aluminum used must be real aluminum, whether it is used on the surface or the edge.

To stay current with this trend, Tece has added real aluminum edgebanding to its product line. Our edgebanding is made by laminating real aluminum foil onto extruded PVC.

We offer our PVC aluminum edgebanding in different colors and finishes.

Applying aluminum edgebanding is a bit different than using standard PVC or melamine. The edgebanding machine must be adjusted to process and trim the aluminum material. As the edgebanding is made of real aluminum, the trimming knives must be specially designed or they will become dull quickly and ruin the edges.
