Introduction Our children, the future of our world, are the most valuable things in our lives. For that reason, we always try to buy the best possible things that could be toys, furniture and so on. Are we buying the right and healthy things for them? Let us take the example of furniture to analyze. What is furniture made of? 1. Panel: Panel is the most important material in furniture making. 99% of chipboard producers are professional companies who make sure that the product contains as less unhealthy material as possible. And more importantly, the proper investment for such production is so high. Only, adequate companies will start such operation. Therefore, chipboard would be the least concerned material in furniture making when we consider the health issues. 2. Edgebanding: Edgebanding is the second most important element in furniture making. The raw edges of panels must be covered with the some material. Unlike chipboard, edgebanding could be produced with very primitive systems and thus some indecent companies can compromise in quality and make the product with hazardous materials to increase their margin of profit. Let alone edgebanding, this has been seen in children toys. Yet if it is too cheap, you must be cornered. At the end, to produce cheaper, they must add 'lead' or 'DOP oil' which can cause cancer in the long run! The world has become so unnatural that most of what we see the artificial replications of originals. Yet, as producers or buyers, we must make sure that we buy the right replications that will not contain any material that is risk to our health and our children health. A note to Furniture producer and end user! Everything that we shall do is to respect human life. To earn additional 2% profit or lesser, we should not take risk. At the end our kids are important to us. And more importantly, unlike adults, children tend to get closer to the furniture.
